Speed cameras will be placed in various locations across East Lancashire this month (March) to tackle areas of concern for speeding.

The Lancashire Road Safety Partnership install the cameras, some of which are mobile speed cameras, to keep drivers travelling at an appropriate and safe speed.

Safety camera enforcement vehicles can be active in Lancashire seven days a week.

Cameras use highly accurate laser technology to detect speeding motorists but they are also used to identify other offences, including drivers not in proper control or not wearing a seat belt.
