Early on Saturday Morning, many of Burnley Woods resident's along with two of the three Ward Councillors, Cllr Jeff Sumner, Cllr Frank Ashworth, and Burnley's Leader Cllr Gordon Birtwistle alongside members of Dall St. Res. Assoc.

Stood and campaigned in cold and windy weather conditions, showing their disapproval of the potential closure of their most valued service in Burnley Wood THEIR POST OFFICE!

Whilst protesting outside the Post Office many car horns were being blown to show their disapproval of the Post Office Closures.

The resident's and Councillor's are steaming ahead to show "The Post Office Officials" how much our Community needs the only Post Office in the area.

HAND'S OFF OUR POST OFFICE.

Petitions are currently being drafted and should be out for the community to sign within the next day or two.

We will be placing petitions in most (with proprietors permission)businesses along Parliament St.

A petition can be signed here at the Dall St Contact Centre.

We are getting Volunteers to hopefully come around to homes to ask for your support and signatures.

We are hoping to have a petition also at BWCAG Office on Branch Road, and another on Todmorden Road.

Window posters can still be obtained if required from Dall St Res. Assoc. and a further supply was given to BWCAG for distribution from their office on Branch Road.

We need YOUR Support, otherwise we will be saying goodbye to our much needed Post Office here in Burnley Wood.
