SUDELLSIDE Community Association is to hold a meeting to update residents about its future following the Royds report on community centre closures.
The review, commissioned by Blackburn with Darwen Council, concluded that most of the borough's community centres were outdated, in poor condition, and running at a loss.
It recommended closure of centres at Ivy Street, Sudellside in Darwen, Little Harwood and Shadsworth, which it said are under-used.
But the council rejected the findings and vowed not to close any community centres in Blackburn with Darwen.
A meeting will take place on March 11 to update people who attended the meeting in November and for people who would like further information about the future of Sudellside Community Centre. The meeting starts at 7pm in the centre.
