The Clitheroe Rotary Club has opened a collection point for anyone wanting to help the people of Ukraine.
Rotary will be collecting goods, which will then be passed onto The International Aid Trust in Preston, who have direct links to communities in the Ukraine.
Howard Blackburn, Clitheroe Rotary International Chairman said: “Rotary is always at the forefront when action is needed to support international disasters and we need to move fast to support the people of the Ukraine.”
People can donate goods at a drop off point at St Mary’s Hall, opposite Clitheroe St Mary’s Parish Church, between 10am and 4pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Collections will also be taken the following weekend from Friday March 11 through to Sunday 13 March.
Goods such as sleeping bags, duvets, towels, toiletries, nappies, footwear, warm clothing for children, women and men can be donated.
The products don’t have to be new but must be in a clean condition and packed and labelled separate bags to help when sorting.
Dry food such as rice and pasta, tinned food, all of which should be long dated can also be dropped off.
Howard added: “Rotary knows the people of Ribble Valley will rise to the challenge to help those most in need and look forward to receiving your donations at St Mary’s Hall, thank you in advance.”
