The sixth and final series of Peaky Blinders will premiere tonight – over two years after season five ended.
In this season, fans will learn the fate of Thomas Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) and the rest of the Peaky Blinders gang.
In the first episode, Tommy sets off to North America, where the end of Prohibition brings new opportunities.
Since 2019, cast and crews have descended on various locations across the North West – Lancashire included.
As this season’s scenes play out you might be able to spot the familiar locations on screen.
Here are the Lancashire and north west filming locations to look out for tonight and in the coming weeks:
Cast and crew descended on East Lancashire last April as they filmed some of their scenes for the upcoming series.
Pictures emerged of a gypsy camp and graveyard which were set up at Lee Quarry in Bacup.
Cillian Murphy, who plays Thomas Shelby, was even pictured wearing his suit and iconic peaked cap as he filmed dramatic scenes where he ominously held a gun.
Locals who flocked to the filming location also spotted vintage cars and horses as scenes for the series were shot.
Cast and crew also returned for one day only at the end of April and filmed scenes at Beacon Fell in the Forest of Bowland.
The two Lancashire locations cropped up in the latest trailer for the series, which was released earlier this year.
In the gripping clip, you can see Tommy Shelby as he walks ominously through Lee Quarry.
In another shot, you can see Tommy in the Forest of Bowland while surrounded by gypsy wagons and washing lines with several items of clothes hung out.
Elsewhere in the North West, filming has taken place in Liverpool, Bolton, Manchester, to name just a locations.
Last year, filming also took place in Bolton town centre for several days.
Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy, was seen running out of the former Bolton Magistrates Court, down the steps on to the Crescent, which has been transformed into a period street scene with vintage cars parked up.
Castlefield, Manchester, was also used as a filming location for series six.
The production team built new sets to represent Small Heath, which is the Birmingham area where the Peaky Blinders are based, and China Town, which is where Tommy Shelby is expected to face a number of intense confrontations.
Arley Hall and Gardens in Northwich will also feature as the crime family’s home.
St George’s Hall in Livepool is also set to make an appearance, after filming took place in 2021, where a fight scene broke out.

Peaky Blinders season six will premiere on Sunday 27th February 2022 at 9pm GMT on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
