VOLUNTEERS are needed to raise funds for a charity which helps disabled children across Lancashire.

The Legacy Rainbow House, in Mawdesley near Chorley, a charitable organisation which cares for children, including those in Blackburn, is looking for 65 volunteers to collect money before a football match.

Last year Manchester United Football Club announced it would support The Legacy Rainbow House.

And the club is allowing 65 volunteers, aged 16 and above, to collect money before a match on January 30.

Manchester United play Portsmouth at 8pm and volunteers will be collecting funds around the stadium in Old Trafford, from 5pm until kick-off.

A coach will be leaving The Legacy Rainbow House at 3.45pm to take volunteers to the event and they will be back for 9pm. Volunteers will be collecting in groups of at least two people.
