RUSH hour traffic was disrupted in Barnoldswick this morning after a large tree branch fell across a road.
Strong winds caused a tree to split and half, and the top section fell across High Lane in Salterforth.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 7am this morning, 500 yards from the Fanny Grey pub on the Barnoldswick side.
Officers closed Barnoldswick Road between Whitemoor Reservoir and Barnoldswick for several hours while Blackburn with Darwen Council staff attended to help remove the branch.
