Officers have released a CCTV image after a member of rail staff was spat at.
Police would like to speak with the man in the image following the incident which happened on Monday January 17.
At around 8am, a man on-board a service travelling from Barrow-in-Furness to Manchester Airport started banging on the door of the train driver’s cabin.
He then approached the train guard and shouted at him, demanding he turned the train around.
At Dalton-in-Furness station the man approached the train guard for a second time and spat on the back of his head.
Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
