Storm Dudley is finally winding down after bringing strong winds and heavy rain to the region.
However, the bad weather isn’t over yet as the even stronger Storm Eunice is set to hit the region tomorrow (18 February).
Thankfully, Storm Dudley didn’t bring too much chaos to the county yesterday, apart from electricity disruption and some travel disruption.
However, some experts say the upcoming Storm Eunice could be the country’s worst storm in 30 years.
Met Office forecasters have issued a “danger to life” amber weather warning for wind across many parts of Lancashire.
The warning will be in place from 3pm to 9pm on Friday.
It will cover most areas of Lancashire, including all coastal areas and western areas.
The East Lancashire towns of Blackburn and Darwen are also covered by the amber weather warning.
A yellow weather warning for wind and snow has been issued in Burnley, Pendle, Ribble Valley, Hyndburn and Rossendale; these areas are not currently included in the amber warning.
