A Chorley businessman, who is a contestant on this year’s series of The Apprentice, has praised a local eatery calling it ‘the best’ in his hometown.

Aaron Willis, who has avoided being fired by Sir Alan Sugar in six episodes so far, gave the Chorley Market business a special shout-out during an Instagram Q&A.

One fan asked the 38-year-old where the best place to eat in Chorley is.

Aaron replied: “The Bees Country Kitchen in Chorley Market – it’s a family run business with really good food. Really would strongly recommend it.”

Aaron even paid a special visit to the business on Thursday (10 February).

A spokesperson for the business said they had a “lovely chat” about the town, as well as their business values.

They said: “Aaron paid a surprise visit to The Bees today after a meeting in town… he was a smashing chap!

“Mrs Bee is a long time super fan of The Apprentice so this was really special.

“Lots of great chat about our lovely town and common business values.

“Come and see us again soon, Aaron.”

The award-winning eatery prides itself on serving “wholesome” breakfast and lunch dishes; they also serve afternoon teas with other products, such as gift hampers, to buy and take home.

Lamb hot pot, corned beef hash are just some of the comfort food dishes that you might find on their ‘hot menu’.

As well as being quizzed about his favourite local eateries, Aaron also answered some juicy Q&A questions about The Apprentice.

One person asked when the show was filmed, which Aaron revealed was last summer.

He said: “All our filming was done in the summer so everything that you see now, the hot weather and stuff, it’s all done and dusted.”

Another asked how his friends and family managed to keep quiet about how he performed on the show.

Aaron said: “There are only two people that I was allowed to tell about the whole process – that was my wife and my mum.

“Everybody else didn’t know that I was in the process or anything what was happening happened.

“The first they all knew about it was when you all knew about it.”

Aaron also revealed that a barber was sent into the house to freshen them up for camera.

He said: “London-based AKO Barbers were absolutely on point gave us a really good trim and really good fade.”
