Three people have been arrested and drugs, cash, BB guns and shotguns seized after a car was stopped and searched.
At around 9.05pm on Saturday, officers on patrol in the Banks area of West Lancashire spotted a VW Golf which was being driven suspiciously.
The car and its three occupants were stopped and searched close to the The Gravel and in the vehicle officers found a quantity of cannabis, BB guns, £1,500 in cash and other items relating to drug supply.
A subsequent search of a related address in Ormskirk also turned up two shotguns.
Three men – a 22-year-old from Rufford, a 22-year-old from Tarleton and a 27-year-old from Southport – have been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply (not class A).
The 22-year-old from Rufford was also arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
All three have since been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.
