Hufling Hall is now hemmed in by victorian houses, but when it was built in 1696, Burnley Wood really was a wood. There were acres of fields and open countryside around the house. With it's spilt stone roof, thick walls and mullion windows. It looks somewhat out of place in its present setting. As it is one of the oldest buildings still standing in Burnley Wood today.
