A man was taken to hospital following a crash on the A59.
On Wednesday evening, emergency services were called to the A59 at Balderstone near Blackburn.
The incident involved two cars and fire crews from Blackburn were required to attend to cut one person from his vehicle.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "Two fire engines from Blackburn attended a road traffic collision on the A59, Balderstone, Blackburn.
"The incident involved two vehicles.
"Firefighters released one casualty from their vehicle before placing them in the care of paramedics.
"Crews were in attendance for one hour."
An ambulance service spokesperson confirmed they took one man to hospital with non-serious injuries after being released from his vehicle by the fire service.
It is believed the call came in to the ambulance just before 6pm.
