A FLORIST has made a hilarious display following revelations of No10’s boozy parties – with Boris Johnson’s trademark messy hair made out of spiky dried grass.
Petals Florist, in Darwen Market Hall, opted to make use of a dried grass plant they had after they noticed it had a resemblance to the PM’s distinctive messy hairdo.
Employee Tanya Bradley, 29, created a display which sees Johnson surrounded by wine in light of revelations of Downing Street's secret parties throughout lockdown.
The PM – represented by the spiky plant with a picture of Boris’ head stuck to the pot – is stood next to a speech bubble reading ‘don’t worry chaps – work related’.
He sports a bright badge on his chest which reads ‘what party?’ along with a red lizard’s tongue poking out his mouth.
Tanya said: “When we saw the grass plant in the pot, we all kept joking it looked like Boris.
"So when all the parties were in the news, we thought why not make a display?
"Since putting the display up, people have loved it.
"We've had a lot of people coming up to us and laughing, and it's only been up a day.
"With what's going on at the minute, people need a laugh to cheer them up.
"People have definitely been seeing the funny side."
