TWO members of staff from Nelson-based Daisy are packing for their holidays after winning employee awards.
Sales adviser Mike Smith, of Burnley, and PR executive Katharine Butler, of Accrington, were awarded sales person and employee of the year, in the telecom firm's end of year presentation.
Mike received two return tickets to New Zealand, allowing him to visit his son who emigrated there last year.
And Katharine won the accolade of employee of the year and was rewarded with a skiing holiday to France and £500 spending money.
Mike said: "I am not usually the kind of person that is lost for words, but on this occasion I really was taken aback.
"I have never had as many emails and handshakes after receiving the award and can't wait to see my son later this year."
Katharine said: "I was really overwhelmed to have won the award and didn't expect it for one minute.
"I'm looking forward to getting away for a New Year's break."
