FORMER global football advisor to Blackburn Rovers, Shebby Singh, has died at the age of 61.
It is thought that the former footballer passed away after suffering a heart attack while out cycling.
Singh was named Venky’s global advisor in 2012 and was the first point of contact at the club up until 2014.
In the months immediately after his arrival, the club, fresh from relegation from the Premier League, went on an extravagant spending spree.
They spent millions of pounds on transfer and agents’ fees in deals for highly-paid players like Danny Murphy, Nuno Gomes, Leon Best and Dickson Etuhu as well as five Portuguese unknowns.
When he left Rovers he took up a new role in Malaysia.
