WITNESSES are being urged to come forward after a Czech holiday - maker died in a car crash on a notorious stretch of road.
The 19-year-old, who had been visiting East Lancashire, is the second person to be killed on the A671 Accrington Road, Whalley this month.
A man and a woman, who were in the same car, are fighting for their lives in hospital.
It is thought the teenagers arrived in England on holiday three days ago.
Police are working with Czech embassy officials to trace the relatives of the 19-year-old back seat passenger and the others injured.
The crash happened at the badly lit Springwood Traffic Lights, involving a white Skoda saloon and a silver Vauxhall Vectra saloon on Saturday at 10pm.
The 18-year-old man who was the driver of the Skoda and a 19-year-old woman, who was the back seat passenger, are both in a serious condition with multiple injuries and an 18-year-old man, who was the front seat passenger, has non life threatening injuries.
The man in the Vauxhall was a 47-year-old taxi driver from the Clitheroe area. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Sgt Mick Young, from Blackburn Road Policing Unit said: "I appeal to anyone who witnessed this tragic incident or who has information to assist police, to contact the road policing unit at Blackburn on 01254 353205."
