BURNLEY welcome Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town to Turf Moor in the FA Cup third round (KO 12:30pm).
Sean Dyche’s men enter the game on the back of a frustrating 3-1 defeat at Leeds United despite Maxwel Cornet’s stunning free-kick.
Team news
The Clarets have had further Covid cases, with four unnamed players plus several members of staff including Dyche testing positive.
Connor Roberts is back in training, while Ashley Barnes is also making positive progress as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury.
Josh Brownhill could return after coming out of isolation but Nick Pope is unlikely to feature against the Terriers.
Meanwhile, the Terriers have had Covid problems of their own and could be forced to make several changes.
Opposition lowdown
Huddersfield sit sixth in the Championship table, having taken 40 points from their opening 26 matches.
Corberan’s men were held to a goalless draw against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in their last outing.
Burnley have faced the Yorkshire club 74 times in their history, with a record of 33 wins, 14 draws and 27 defeats.
The points were shared when the sides last met at Turf Moor back in October 2018, with Sam Vokes on target in a 1-1 draw.
Last meeting
The Clarets came out on top when the sides last met back in January 2019 following a 2-1 victory at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Terriers went in front through Steve Mounie’s header but Dyche’s men hit back through Chris Wood.
Christopher Schindler was then shown a second yellow card before Ashley Barnes scored the winner 16 minutes from time.
Robbie Brady was also sent off in stoppage time for a reckless challenge as both sides finished with 10 men.
