A pantomime has been cancelled for a day due to staffing issues related to Covid.
Sleeping Beauty, which is being held at the Burnley Mechanics Theatre, has had to be called off for one performance on Thursday, January 13.
All other performances, including the opening night on Friday (January 7), will go ahead as planned.
A spokesperson for the pantomime society: “We have made the difficult decision to cancel our Thursday, January 13 performance of Sleeping Beauty to ease the pressure of isolation and staffing issues.”
Most people with tickets for the cancelled performance have been contacted, however there are some ticket winners who the theatre have not managed to contact.
They are asking for the ticket winners to contact them through Facebook Messenger to help them rearrange for another performance.
Tickets can be purchased from the Mechanics box office or via the website www.burnleymechanics.co.uk. Or for more information go to the Facebook page, Burnley Pantomime Society.
