WORKS With Water, the Clitheroe-based company, has won a Food Processing Award.
The company, which produces a range of naturally-flavoured spring waters, won the Aim award for Ingredients, Manufacture and Use for its 120/80 spring water.
The award recognises the best new ingredient or most innovative use of an ingredient in a final product.
Works With Water was commended for the water it developed in conjunction with its ingredients partner DKSH.
The brand 120/80 is the first spring water to contain dairy peptides which are derived from milk proteins and clinically proven to be effective in the reduction of blood pressure.
Works With Water beat more than 100 nominated organisations including finalists Roquette, Kluman and Balter and industry giant Cargill to win the award.
Company founder, Jules Birch, said: "We launched 120/80 earlier in 2007 and we've been thrilled with its phenomenal success.
"With the expertise of DKSH we have been able to deliver a range of spring waters that contain ingredients of the very highest quality to ensure that our waters deliver clinically proven benefits for health.
"Winning this award is the cherry to top a fantastic year."
