A man from East Lancashire has been charged as part of a five-month investigation into the supply of firearms and ammunition.
On Wednesday, four people were arrested by Merseyside Police, with three later being charged.
During the investigation, a Colt revolver, ammunition and a significant quantity of cash were recovered from addresses in Liverpool and Southport.
David Keenan, 42, of Turner Street, Stackheads, Bacup has been charged with conspiracy to possess prohibited weapons.
Vincent John Horsfall, 28, currently in HMP Liverpool, and Fiona Leah Crooks, also 28, of Wheatfield Close, Netherley have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to possess prohibited weapons for sale/transfer without authority.
All three have been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Thursday (today).
A 57-year-old man from Allerton was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess prohibited weapons and has been released under investigation.
