QUITE often in the media you will hear of complaints about the use of plastic.
The supermarkets put on a charge for their bags to make customers reuse them, good idea.
We also criticise them for too many items being wrapped in plastic.
One thing I have NOT heard, is anyone criticise the charity organisations for sending (in my case) at least three or four bags in a week for donations of unwanted clothes and goods, none of which state that they are recyclable.
If these bags are not recyclable, just think how many bags are delivered through your letterbox in a year multiplied by how many houses there are in the UK.
Given the amount of collection bags being delivered if we used them all we would be all running around half naked – perish the thought.
