ONE of East Lancashire's top covers bands is looking for a new lead singer: could it be you?
30 Something have a vacancy that members Jamie Hudson, Alex Challenor and Dan Pinder are keen to fill, after lead singer Noddy left at Christmas.
They're looking for "a talented, charismatic front man who knows how to give a crowd what they want".
The four-piece, from Oswaldtwistle and Accrington, was created with the aim of bringing back a good night out for people aged 30 something who appreciate live music.
"It's a sort of back to your youth' music project that has not been seen since the likes of Nobody's Hero's left the stage a few years back," said guitarist Jamie Hudson. "We have a set list that captures the tunes of The Stone Roses, Stiff Little Fingers, Manic Street Preachers, New Order, The Smiths and even fun tracks like Take That."
"The cover songs we play are showing to be favourites among the audiences at gigs and guarantee a rapturous response. We are the people's band and our loyal fans attend most gigs and never tire of the songs we play."
The band have been together for 12 months and have found local fame playing packed venues across Lancashire.
And although the band is fairly new, the line-up is made up from talented musicians, who have over half a century of live music experience on the East Lancashire circuit. Guitarist Jamie was founder member of Easy Rider, Alex, aka Chaly (bass), played in Slideshow and Dan (drums) graced the stage with Ten Stone Dead. Noddy used to perform in Polestar.
