Blackburn's King George's Hall has also produced its new brochure for the start of 2008 which includes top-notch comedy, some classical delights and some great live gigs.

Returning to East Lancashire for two nights will be the Chinese State Circus, who will be performing on Tuesday, January 22 and Wednesday, January 23. Combining spectacular stunts with amazing acrobatics, it's a show which will leave you dazzled.

THe Lock and Load Comedy Club has now moved to a new reular slot on the first Friday of every month, showcasing some of the North West's finest stand-ups.

Dave Spikey will also be calling in to King George's Hall to present his new one-man show, The Best Medicine Tour. He will play the main hall on Thursday, March 6.

In April multi-award winning comedian John Bishop will be performing his new show based around his experiences of quitting his job in marketing.

Led Zeppelin may have re-formed for a one-off show last year but one of the country's leading tribute bands Whole Lotta Led, will be bringing the Hammer of the Gods tour on Friday, February 29.Former lead singer of Marillion, Fish will be performing with his new band on Saturday, March 9 and on Friday, March 14, Stiff Little Fingers will be making their annual visit to the venue.

In May, Jethro Tull will be celebrating their 40th anniversary with a show. Once again, both the Halle and Royal Liverpool Philarmonic Orchestras will be taking part in a season of classical concerts.

One show which had been advertised, starring impressionist Jon Culshaw, has been cancelled as the star of Dead Ringers has called off his national tour due to filming commitments.
