FORMER students are helping to build Pendle Vale College.
Pendle Vale opened in September 2006, but the school's brand new building is currently under construction.
And that's where brothers Mick and Chris Wilkinson come in.
The former Walton pupils both work for the electrical contractor helping to complete the school, Walsh Integrated Building Services in Nelson, which has a £1.7million contract to supply and install all the electrical equipment at Pendle Vale.
Mick, who now lives in Newchurch-in-Pendle, is now the company's operations director and Chris, who lives in Burnley, is a buyer responsible for the purchase of all the electrical kit going into the new school.
And they are being joined by other local talent.
Walsh has recently taken on two apprentices, Tajammal Shah, a former pupil at Edge End High School, and Matthew Whitehead, who was at St Theodore's High School.
