A WOMAN in her 20s was taken to hospital after she was cut out of her car following a crash.
The woman was driving her Renault Clio along Scotland Road, Nelson, in the direction of Barrowford when a second vehicle, a Vauxhall Astra, pulled out and clipped the Renault, police said.
The collision caused the car to hit a speed camera at the side of the road.
The impact into the passenger side caused the car to buckle, leaving the motorist trapped.
A fire crew from Nelson attended at 7.15pm on Thursday, and firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the car roof before releasing the woman.
She was taken by ambulance to Royal Blackburn Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the Vauxhall was uninjured.
