Christmas is just around the corner and many people will already be turning their attention towards decorating their home.

1. Dove Syke Nursery

If you want a real tree that has been lovingly grown and cared for, then look no further than the trees at Dove Sky Nursery.
While they are a small nursery, their trees are great quality and the staff are at hand to answer any questions you have about caring for the trees.
From the popular Nordmann Fir to the more traditional Norway Spruce, there are a variety of trees to choose from here.
This year, they have turned Christmas tree picking into an even more festive event, giving kids the chance to post a letter to Santa.
Their 20 acres of open forest are entirely outdoors making for a perfectly covid-safe space.

This company describe themselves as one of the North West’s leading real Christmas tree retailers.
There are a variety of lush trees to choose from including Nordmann Firs, Scotch Pines and Fraser Firs and prices range from £41 - £78.
They also sell faux wreaths and decorations.
3. British Christmas Tree Company

This company will be open as usual from 27 November right up until Christmas Eve – but this year they are operating from an indoor barn on the car park.
They have a huge selection of Christmas trees and wreaths on display.

7. Lawns Farm at Christmas

This Christmas tree farm is open right now – and some local businesses have already requested some 15-25ft trees from the farm.
All trees are home grown and fresh cut. All order sizes are available with delivery also for a small fee.

You can choose your own Christmas tree, wreath or garland here.
On Friday 3 December they will also be hosting their own Santa's Grotto complete with real reindeer and an elf experience.

How to dispose of your Christmas Tree
Once the season’s merriment is over, it’s time to dispose of your Christmas tree.
However, instead of fly tipping there are plenty of ways to dispose of your tree.
You could chop it up and place it in your green bin.
Another option is to take it to your local recycling centre.
