A MOTORCYCLIST who was seriously injured following a crash last month has died.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Rossendale, suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to hospital but died on Friday morning.
Officers were called to Bocholt Way, Rawtenstall, at 6.49pm on October 27 following reports of a crash involving a BMW 520D and a Ducati 748S motorbike.
Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the collision and police are now appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage.
Sgt Steve Hardman said: “Very sadly the motorcycle rider involved in this collision has sadly passed away and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
“We are continuing to establish the full circumstances of what led to the collision and we would ask any witnesses or anybody with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact the police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information is asked to email 2385@lancashire.police.uk or call 101, quoting log 1243 of October 27.
