A BURNLEY football club blimp cut free by vandals in December will not be replaced, according to the club.
The club said no sightings had been received of the 20-foot airship-style balloon, which was cut free 90 minutes before its maiden outing at a Championship game.
At the time experts said the helium-filled blimp could have travelled as far as Scotland.
Following the incident police asked eBay to remove an advert, which showed a picture of an airship style balloon in front of Turf Moor with a bid of £800,100, believing it to be a hoax.
Burnley had offered a reward for the safe return of the balloon, which can be clearly identified by the club crest and branding.
The blimp was only bought a few weeks ago to promote match days.
