A MAN has been arrested in connection with a sex attack where the victim was locked in her own shed after being burgled.
The 51-year-old woman was said to have been attacked in her Clayton-le-Moors home in the early hours of Wednesday after an intruder broke in to the property.
Police said she was then forced into an outside shed while her attacker fled. She was able to free her self before summoning help from her neighbours.
A total of £500 was later removed from her bank accounts from cash machines in Queen Street and St Hubert Street in Great Harwood. Police are currently checking CCTV from the area.
A 30-year-old man from Rishton has been arrested in connection with the attack.
Det Chief Insp Paul Withers said: "We will be questioning the man throughout the day and he will then either be implicated or eliminated from our inquiries. "
