A TIME capsule has been buried as work started on a centre of excellence for disabled sport on the site of two new Pendle schools.
Paralympian Sarah Bailey, who has won five gold medals, conducted the honours at Pendle Vale and Pendle Community High School, Oxford Road, Nelson.
The capsule contains a uniform and CDs with pictures and a video of the students. The new sports centre, which will open at the same time as the new schools in September, will have a sports hall for wheelchair sports, a larger hydrotherapy pool and extra circulation space for disabled athletes.
