Manchester Airport has a festive treat lined up in December when they will be giving guests the chance to dine under the wings of an aircraft.

The Runway Visitor Park (RVP) at Manchester Airport will be serving guests turkey and all the trimmings, all while they relax underneath the second-fastest aircraft to take to the sky after Santa’s sleigh.

The dinner, on Sunday 5th December ,will be set under the wings of the RVP’s magnificent Concorde Alpha Charlie, with diners given the chance to tour the iconic aircraft and witness its famous nose droop as a finishing flourish to the occasion.

The afternoon will also feature live entertainment from The Sensational Soprano Gemma Ashley, and festive songs performed by Voices from Wilmslow High School. Sale Salvation Army will also be playing some Carols.

Robert Hassard, Manager of the Runway Visitor Park, said: “After a difficult couple of years for the airport and our neighbouring communities, we are delighted to be able to bring people together once more to celebrate the festive season at the RVP.

“This will be a truly memorable occasion for diners, with fantastic performances and a unique setting to get them well and truly into the festive spirit.

“We expect this event to prove incredibly popular, so we encourage anyone who is interested to book now to avoid disappointment.”
