The Lancashire chip shops named best in the UK - the full list

Vinegar brand Sarson’s has revealed this year’s Official Guide to the UK’s Quality Fish and Chip Shops 2021 and there are 16 places in the North West on the list.

Each year the National Federations of Fish Friers (NFFF) join forces with Saron’s to rank the top chippies in the UK based on a thorough assessment of the premises and equipment, the working practices, hygiene standards and management controls, together with, of course, the quality and taste of the fish and chips.

Big Fish Trading Co

Where: Coral Island, Promenade, Blackpool

Award-winning fish and chips are served at this restaurant and have been given the National Fish Fryers Quality Award for six years running.

Black’s Finest Fish and Chips

Where: 159 High Road, Halton, Lancaster

Near to the beautiful River Lune, this award-winning chippy is definitely one to visit.

Granada Fish Bar
