A MOTORCYCLIST is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a serious collision last night (October 27).
Officers were called to Bocholt Way, Rawtenstall, at 6.49pm yesterday (October 27) following reports of a collision involving a BMW 520D and a Ducati 748S motorbike.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Rossendale, suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to hospital. He remains there in a critical but stable condition.
Nobody has been arrested and the driver of the BMW stopped at the scene.
Sgt Steve Hardman, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision has resulted in a man receiving a number of serious injuries and my thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this time.
“We are now working to establish the full circumstances of what led to the collision and we would ask any witnesses or anybody with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact the police as soon as possible.”
