THERE are some great hidden gems of pubs dotted around East Lancashire.
Each week we try to put the spotlight on some of the finest watering holes in the area and give them a boost after a challenging 18 months at least.
So far we have ventured into the Ribble Valley, Blackburn, Burnley, Hyndburn and Darwen. This time we have gone to Mellor to feature the Feildens Arms

It has to be Covid restrictions. We didn’t open during the Covid restrictions and didn’t offer take away. With more planned for Christmas we have a kids Halloween party booked for the 30th October. We also have a website they can find more information and menus on.
The best thing about running a pub is...
The locals are a good bunch and they are lively and funny. We are just happy to be open again and serving customers. It was a strange 18 months being closed and with not much to do, a nice welcome back to some normality.
The worst thing about running a pub is..
Nothing
The perfect hangover cure is...
Roast dinner
