A school boy was knocked off his scooter while crossing the road at a set of traffic lights.

Police are now appealing for information following the accident, which happeend in Warton.

The incident took place on September 27 between 8am and 8.30am at the junction of Lytham Road and Church Road.

The boy, of primary school age, had been on his scooter, crossing Church Road at the traffic light junction with Lytham Road.

The boy was then hit by a grey/sliver five door vehicle which has come from Lytham Road and turned right onto Church Road.

The driver of the vehicle stopped for a short period of time, however did not leave any details.

Fortunately the boy has not sustained any serious injuries, but police would like more information about the crash and are looking to identify the driver of the car.
