A huge cannabis farm which has bypassed several electricity meters has been found by police.
Officers in Preston attended a house on Castleton Road in the city on Thursday and uncovered the grow, which appeared to span across several rooms.
The set-up discovery was only made possible following a tip-off from members of the local community.
A spokesperon for the police said: "Preston Neighbourhood Team One including the Task Force have attended a property on Castleton Road and found a cannabis grow.
"This has been from information received by members of the public.
"These cannabis grows not only fund organised crime but they also pose a fire risk.
"If a terraced property was to set fire, this could easily spread to neighbouring porperties posing significant risk to life.
"If you have suspicions of any property being used in this way, please report it to us via 101."
