A 16-year-old has been arrested after a flare was let-off on a crwoded train.
On Saturday evening, officers from the British Transport Police were called to Lostock Hall Station in Preston after receiving reports of a disturbance.
When they arrived they found a flare had been let-off on a crowded train.
A 16-year-old was quickly identified in connection with the incident and was due to be interviewed by police.
It is not known whether anyone was injured as a result of the flare being let-off, but police enquires are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the BTP said on Sunday: "Officers attended Lostock Hall Station, Preston, yesterday evening following a disturbance.
"A flare had been let off on a crowded train.
"We identified a 16-year-old youth who will be interviewed in connection to the incident.
"Enquiries ongoing."
