COUNCIL bosses have warned tax payers could foot the bill for the £4.5million budget deficit faced by Pendle Council over the next three years.
The council is seeking to make £715,000 savings over the next financial year (2008/9).
Council bosses admit services could be withdrawn, and unfilled posts axed.
In the 2008/9 financial year, the council faces a £715,000 budget shortfall, rising to £4.5million in 2010/11.
These figures do not take into account extra spending on projects like the new community centre on the former market site, off Cross Street.
