THREE Blackburn Rovers players have taken the day off training to relax by a lake and go fishing.
Bradley Dack, John Buckley and Ben Brereton all travelled out to Partridge Lakes Fishery in Warrington yesterday (29 September).
In the pictures they can be seen smiling after hooking a decent-size fish from Holbar Lake.
Partridge Lakes posted the pictures to their Instagram feed, along with the caption: “Blackburn @rovers team day out on Holbar Lake today!”
Barbara Ikin, part of the Partridge Lakes Fishery team, said it’s not the first time the trio have visited the business.
She said: “They have been quite a few times but I’ve never wanted to impose on their quiet day and take pictures - but this time they sent them to me which was great of them!
“They use the cafe for breakfast and lunch and the team on there say they are all really friendly, polite and wouldn’t have known they were famous at all!
“They also use the Tackle and Bait Shop and the lad who works in there says they are all really good lads!”
Ben Brereton also posted about the fishing trip and wrote: “Fun day fishing with the boys @bradleydack1 @johnbuckley07”, along with three pictures of himself holding a fish.
However, not everyone was excited about the boy’s fishing trip.
Bradley Dack’s fiancé, Olivia Attwood, reposted an image of Bradley holding a fish image to her Instagram feed and wrote: “Not what I need to see after a 20 hour day.
“I can’t believe I let him touch me with those fingers.”
The Rovers players seem to be avid fishers as they are often pictured casting their lines and trying to catch fish together.
Ben has an Instagram reel dedicated entirely to fishing – and it is over a year old.
Some of the pictures contain images from Bradley Dack’s Instagram stories. In one picture, Ben is holding a fish and posing next to a smiling Bradley.
In another, Bradley can be seen holding a mammoth fish and the picture is captioned: “Showing the boys how it’s done again.”
Partridge Lakes Fishery is set over 70 acres of Cheshire countryside and the waters have been “individually landscaped” to provide a top day of fishing for all.
