Police have made an arrest following a spate of burglaries in Darwen.

Officers investigating thefts from commercial buildings in the town have arrested and charged a man in his thirties.

The man of no fixed address has been remanded in custody and will be appearing in Blackburn magistrates Court today (Thursday September 30).

A Blackburn and Darwen Police Spokesperson said: “This will hopefully satisfy public interest due to the number of burglaries that have recently occurred in the area.

“Darwen Neighbourhood policing team would like to thank the public for their valuable contribution in keeping our Neighbourhood safe.
