A man caught with more than 200 indecent images of a child on his phone has been jailed.
Damian Moxham was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday after being found with 209 indecent images of a three-year-old girl on his phone.
The 58-year-old had previously, in May this year, pleaded guilty to taking indecent photos of the child and possession of indecent images.
PC Adam Burke, of the Online Child Abuse Investigation Team, said: “We received intelligence that Moxham may have been in possession of indecent images, and seizure of his devices confirmed this was the case.
“Moxham has now been jailed, giving him plenty of time to consider the consequences of his actions.
“I hope this sends a message that we will not stand for this type of offending in Lancashire and will do everything within our power to investigate and bring offenders before the courts.”
Moxham, of Victoria Quay, Preston, was sentenced to 16 months in jail.
