A MAN has pleaded guilty to attempted murder after a teenager was shot in the face.
Appearing at Burnley Magistrates Court, Lee Barnett, 37, admitted the charge, which relates back to an incident which took place on Humphrey Street in Brierfield on March 10.
His younger brother Neil Barnett, 34, pleaded guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent.
The pair will now be sentenced on October 22.
Emergency services were called to the area in the evening when an 18-year-old boy was shot in the face.
At the time, Det Con Insp Jane Webb, from Lancashire Police, said the man was "very lucky to have survived the attack".
Police stepped up patrols in the area and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
