A road near to a level crossing has been closed after a barrier was hit by a car.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon at the Brindle Road/Hospital Inn crossing in Bamber Brodge.
The crossing and the road is currently closed in both ways after the barrier was struck by a vehicle.
Network Rail are on site.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Please be aware that Brindle Road and Hospital Road crossing in Bamber Bridge is currently closed both way due to a barrier being struck by a vehicle.
"Network Rail are on site assessing damage and trying to fix now."
