A MAN was left with a serious hand injury after he was assaulted outside a pub.

Detectives are looking to speak to two people they believe may be able to help with their enquiries.

The incident occurred some time before 10.30pm on August 12 outside the Bees Knees pub on Blackburn Road in Accrington.

Despite police making numerous enquiries, no arrests have been made.

DC Lee Forshaw, of Blackburn CID, said: “This nasty assault has left the victim with a serious injury to his hand. Our enquiries are continuing to identify those responsible and we believe the two men in the CCTV stills can assist with our enquiries.”

Both of the men are described as white, with one wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, a white T-shirt and dark shorts.

The second was wearing a white T-shirt and light grey shorts.
