The driver of a stolen car which was on cloned plates has been arrested.
Officers in Rossendale, along with tac ops, dog patrol, a police helicopter and GMP were in pursuit of a cloned vehicle.
The car turned out to be stolen and after parking up, the occupants made off from the vehicle.
An area search was conducted and with help from the public, a male was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and the car was seized.
A short time later, another cloned vehicle was pursued and a male was arrested for a number of offences.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Last night Team 5 Rossendale along with tac ops, dog patrol, NPAS and GMP were in pursuit of a cloned vehicle that turned out to be an outstanding stolen which has now been seized.
“Occupants made off from the vehicle and an area search was conducted and with the help from members of the public a male was arrested for theft of motor vehicle and spent the night in custody.
“A short time later another cloned vehicle was pursued and with the help from NPAS a male was detained and arrested for numerous offences
“Great teamwork and thank you to the public who assisted. Another two off the road.”
