A weekend of live entertainment is coming to a Lancashire town next month.
Chorley's Big Weekend will take place on Friday October 1 and Saturday October 2 at various venues across the town.
And what's even more exciting, is that entry to all the venues is completely free.
A spokesperson for the event said: "We wanted to host a weekend of live entertainment to support the nighttime economy as we recover from the pandemic.
"To do this in a way that is accessible to those who are keen to return to life as it was and those who are more cautious we will be offering a mix of indoor and outdoor venues.
"There will be a mix of musical entertainment from choirs and rock bands through to solo artists and performers, with plenty to cater for all ages and tastes - similar to what we have done with Chorley Live in previous years."
The event will run on Friday October 1 from 6pm-11pm and on Saturday October 2 throughout the day and into the evening, finishing at 11pm.
More than 20 indoor venues have signed up to be part of the weekend as well as seven outdoor locations.
Deputy Leader of Chorley Council, Councillor Peter Wilson, said: "It is great to see that so many businesses have decided to join in with Chorley's Big Weekend by putting acts on at their venues.
"This is in addition to the seven outdoor performance areas in the town centre, which means that it really will be a Big Weekend in Chorley - bringing people into the town centre to enjoy themselves and also help the retail and night time economy.
"We have planned the event to appeal to people of all ages with family entertainment, fairground rides and a climbing wall as well as lots of live music to enjoy."
