Blackburn Rovers Football Club has teamed up with a local distillery to create their very own gin.
Their £35 ‘Riverside Gin’ has a juniper flavour and it even comes in a blue and white decorative bottle.
The drink itself is distilled using “tactically selected” botanicals which “embody the beautiful game.
Named as a tribute to our famous stand on the banks of the River Darwen, is a premium batch gin in a 50cl bottle with a 40% ABV.
Working with Darwen-based The Whitehall Distillery, the team spent months crafting the gin which is made specially for supporters of the game.
Distilled on-site at the Whitehall Hotel in Darwen, owner Neil Bullows said: “I’m delighted to be working with Rovers as the supplier of their Classic London Dry Gin comprising of 14 carefully selected botanicals, macerated, boiled and infused culminating in a flavoursome tipple.”
Many football fans are excited about the new gin.
Ryan Derbyshire tagged his friend and said: “Getting some of this.”
Another Blackburn Rovers supporter wrote: “Christmas present sorted”.
“Add this to your collection,” said another, tagging their friend.
It’s not the first tipple that the football club has created as they previously teamed up with Hops and Shots to make a range of craft beers.
If you want to buy your very own £35 bottle of gin, visit The Whitehall Distillery website.
