The top 50 UK Gastropubs have been revealed with eight North West pubs making the list.
The top 50 features a range of establishments who offer anything from classic small plates to Michelin-star grub.
The full list includes classic London boozers and local country inns, all using British ingredients.
The list is compiled by a combined score of reader's suggestions throughout the year, online user reviews and Big 7 Travel's editorial team.

5th. Dog and Gun Inn – Skelton, Cumbria
All food – from the fresh bread to soups and stocks – is made daily by chef-owner Ben Queen-Fryer, the only chef in the kitchen. This is food for the soul, with dishes such as glazed ox cheek with truffled Spatzle, buttered kale and cauliflower.
6th. Parkers Arms – Newton-in-Bowland, Lancashire
Using regional produce, the Parkers Arms is known for it's show-stopping Sunday lunch. It's dog friendly and full of a buzzing atmosphere.
7th. Mr Thomas’s Chop House – Manchester
Located right in the centre of Manchester, Mr Thomas's Chop House is famous for it's Manchester Egg - a pickled egg in a sausage and black pudding coating rolled in breadcrumbs.
11th. The White Swan – Fence, Burnley, Lancashire
The White Swan is known for using the freshest local produce, with it's menu changing reguallry depending onwhat is available from the suppliers. Head Chef Tom Parker is Michelin-star trained and the food doesn't dissapoint.
15th. The Drunken Duck, Ambleside, Cumbria
Consistently rated as one of the best gastropubs in the UK and nowhere does that shine through more so than in their hearty yet balanced mains, which include dishes such as a venison bourguignon suet pudding with sticky red cabbage and parsnip. Think British classics, but with a twist.
26th. Assheton Arms in Downham, Lancashire
The Assheton Arms is the epitome of a timeless, country pub. It’s a historic Grade II listed village pub that’s famed for its incredibly fresh seafood – from coast to plate in hours. There’s also a hearty menu of meat dishes and game (during game season), and local veggies.
34th. The Angel Pub – Manchester
The Angel Pub's recent refurbishment has made it one of the best gastropubs in the UK and the menu features beers from independent breweries and local grub.
