A LANCASHIRE hotel has shared images of The Red Arrows as they return to the venue for the first time since lockdown.

The Grand Hotel on the South Promenade in Lytham St Annes said it was “fabulous” to have The RAF Red Arrows back before they set of to fly over Newcastle for The Great North Run.

Thomas Webb, one of the hotel’s directors, said it’s not the first time the Red Arrows has chosen their hotel to stop off at.

Tom said: “They come quite often – usually once a year. Because of Covid restrictions, it’s actually been a little while since they last paid a visit.

“We have a good relationship with them. They request to come back to stay with us and enjoy the facilities we have.”

During their stay, Tom said he sat with the team as they browsed through old photos hotel staff have taken with the Red Arrows throughout the years.

He added: “We also had a good chat with them about the local area”.

When asked what the Red Arrows seem to enjoy about the family-run hotel so much, Tom had a few ideas.

He said: “It’s right on the sea front and we have some fabulous rooms, a great restaurant and a lovely pool and leisure area”.

In the pictures, Thomas, Hannah and baby Archie Webb can be seen posing with 10 members of the Red Arrows crew.

At the time of writing, the post has received a massive 569 interactions, 47 comments and 86 shares.
